Heritage Foundation for Germans from Russia [a non profit 501 (c)(3) corporation] manages the following funds per its constitution and bylaws. HFGR’s mandate is to financially assist the Germans from Russia Heritage Society with its activities and expenses.
Gwen Pritzkau Scholarship Fund
This fund was established as an honor to Gwen Pritzkau, former librarian at the Family History Library at Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a member of the Germans from Russia Heritage Society and during her years at the Library she spent countless hours helping individuals with Germans from Russia ancestry as they researched their genealogy. A cash scholarship is given each year from the earnings of this fund to the winner of the Senior High School Division of the GRHS Youth Esssay Contest.
Armand Bauer Publication Fund
This fund was established to honor the years of dedicated work Armand Bauer gave to the Germans from Russia Heritage Society as, among other things, editor of the Society’s “Heritage Review.” Earnings from this fund are given to GRHS designated to help pay its publication expenses.
GRHS Future Growth Fund
This fund was established by the Board of Directors of the Germans from Russia Heritage Society. Its stated purpose is to give annual earnings to GRHS for its undesignated use.
Thomas and Janice (Huber) Stangl Endowment Fund for the Joseph S. Height Awards
This fund was established to recognize the unselfish help Thomas and Janice Stangl have given Germans from Russia researchers. Earnings from this fund are given to the four respective annual winners of the Joseph S. Height Awards, as determined by the GRHS Height Awards Committee.
